Sesuai dengan kesepakatan semua ormawa di kalangan Universitas Malikussaleh untuk menanggapi tentang musibah banjir yang melanda tiga Kabupaten di pantai barat-selatan Aceh yaitu Kabupaten Aceh Barat, Aceh Barat Daya dan Nagan raya, maka semua aktivis mahasiswa menegakkan rasa tanggung jawab moralnya terhadap korban banjir tesebut dengan melakukan aksi galang dana dibeberapa titik Kota Lhokseumawe dan Kabupaten Aceh Utara.

Menurut hasil rapat pada hari rabu tanggal 10 April 2013 yang dimotori oleh BEM UNIMAL, aksi galang dana tersebut dilaksanakan selama satu minggu yang dimulai pada hari kamis tanggal 11 April sampai  hari kamis tanggal 18 April. Tema aksi galang dana tersebut yaitu "KELUARGA BESAR MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS MALIKUSSALEH PEDULI KORBAN BANJIR".

Maka dari itu peran Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Arsitektur (HIMATEKA) UNIMAL sangat membantu untuk menyukseskan aksi galang tersebut. Berikut merupakan hasil dokumentasi aksi galang dana yang dilakukan oleh Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Arsitektur (HIMATEKA) UNIMAL beserta Ormawa UNIMAL.
